We welcome Arelda Cady serving the Penshurst West Public School community. Our Wellbeing Support Officer works alongside the learning and support team to facilitate the wellbeing of students and their families. They run approved programs that build children's emotional resilience, personal awareness and social capabilities.
Our Wellbeing Support Officer is a caring and approachable presence in the school, providing a listening ear and a source of comfort and referral for those in a difficult time or in need of a friend.
A Chaplain or Wellbeing Officer is an additional support for school communities to assist with the social, emotional and spiritual wellbeing of students.
Chaplains and Wellbeing Officers are able to run specific programs tailored to the needs of the school such as grief or loss, resilience building and anti-bullying.
Chaplains and Wellbeing Officers also provide one-on-one care, mentoring and support for students, parents and staff.
Chaplains and Wellbeing Officers network with the local community to provide a broad range of support service to the school."
